I love coming on here to get information, engage in healthy debate, etc. But after yesterday I don't think I will be following the game threads for our games in Omaha...there's just so much self loathing, negativity, and over reactions to every single play. See y'all in Omaha!

The negativity definitely spiked since we got into the tourney. Regular season game threads were pretty civil and had less drama queens and sky falling rhetoric.

At least the baseball game threads have good pbp with Lance so that you can get a sense of what is actually happening.

There were a few times in he past where I tried to glance at a football or basketball game thread to see how we were doing, and I would think that we were getting totally destroyed because of the roller coaster fan responses, only to discover eventually that we were comfortably ahead or the score tied or something.

I don't mind the negativity so much, it's the negativity towards the negativity that makes me positive I'm on the right board but it puts a negative slant reading all of the negative things written against the negative posts when I'm positive All I want to see is the update of the score!

It's also the AiT's of the world who just flock to whatever board has a lot of traffic for the day. Some days he shows up on the politics board. If we all started posting on the Soccer board he'd be there within a couple hours.

At the time of that play, we had scored 3 runs in the top of the 8th to make it 6-5, had run their starter and were getting to their pen. Seems reasonable to have some hope at that point.
