Neither over nor under. Exactly 1.

Set it at 1.5 and I would take the under. Hope they prove me wrong.

the Ags best chance to win will be Thursday or Saturday...whichever game is not started by Lange or Poche.

I guess the regional quest would continue with a 2-7 mark leaving Baton Rouge, but 1-8 seems like game over.

A&M might be able to rack up 6 or 7 wins vs. Auburn, Alabama, and Tennessee;

but Ole Miss, Arkansas, and State are going to pin another 4 or 5 losses on the Ags

As much as I love Aggie Baseball, Jared Poche is fun to watch. Kid is something special that you don't see everyday

Once again, whether we go over or under 1 win this weekend may likely depend on whether the Ags strike out over 10 times per game (which is, unfortunately, a pretty good bet vs. this caliber of pitchers). However, I am not sure how consistently impressive the Tigers have been at the plate this year or how good their batters have been with runners in scoring position.

I would like to see us be more aggressive this weekend and swing at first pitch strikes, we get behind in the count often and early which leads to swinging at bad pitches.

Well, Foster seems to always swing at the first pitch...

I'm amazed at how a freshman who's batting .333, leading the team in home runs, and third on the team in rbis gets so much grief from people on here

Because he is still a freshman, and at times, it shows. For someone with his average, one would think he has patience and control at the plate. But it honestly seems like he just knows how to swing the bat.... hard. Think of how great he could be if he learned to wait for "his" pitch. I think people here arent trying to give him grief, but moreso point out how great he could be if he reached his full potential. We all realize he's young with one hell of a bat... when he makes contact, but as we start playing better teams, his youth is beginning to show.

I think we get one win this weekend and that leaves the Ags barely treading water but still with a legit shot to climb back into a regional.

if Lange has his curve ball working tonight, the Ags will have to swing early in the count at the first fastball they see.

otherwise it will be all curves once Lange gets to 2-strikes in the count

regarding Foster...he has feasted on the midweek / non-conference part of the schedule.

only 3 for 20 with 1 x-base hit & 1 RBI in league play (and 8 K's)

Yea but they have all struggled in league play so far

Y'all's best chance to beat us will be getting to our bullpen. Our 3 starters have been pretty solid this year, but after them it's a bunch of very inconsistent arms in the bullpen. That's why we're losing so many midweek games.

Our offense is also inconsistent. They'll have a great game, then a few terrible games, so who knows what'll happen? I don't think we're playing anywhere close to what we're capable of yet. This team returned pretty much everyone from last year.

so are we on the tail end of the "horrible offense" cycle? Surely having the loss on Tuesday was the start of it, so maybe we can snag a few before the "great offense" comes back around.

My observation is that Foster realizes that he has had a whole lot of trouble catching up with any slightly above average fastball when thrown at the waste or higher and has adjusted by simply swinging out of his shoes to try to catch up with this heat. By doing so, he not only probably slows his swing down but also gets completely fooled by every off-speed pitch that comes his way. I hope he comes up with an approach like shortening his swing and going to right field which may be more productive.
