Our Women's BB never breaks even or even close to that. Look at game attendance.
It's not right now. It could do better, but it generates more revenue from ticket sales (soccer generates a lot from camps) than any other women's sport, and at a school that spent less, could well come close to paying its own way.2/7Marine0311 said:

We spend $2 million on coaching salaries. A school that was starting a program wouldn't spend half that much. There's a reason why everyone has a women's basketball program, but not necessarily gymnastics, or softball, or whatever.2/7Marine0311 said:
The women's BB team has 12 on it's roster and 4 coaches, they spend the most of any women's program.
Doesn't answer my question.2/7Marine0311 said:
Gymnastics will never be at ATM due to the risk management and cost
Other schools have T&F and equestrian and also gymnastics, Auburn for example. what do we spend money on that those guys don't?2/7Marine0311 said:
Our money goes to the other sports. Track spends a ton especially in the outdoor season, they compete on the road every week almost, equestrian also costs a lot too.
Sure, we don't have a home outdoor meet but we aren't the only SEC school not to have a home outdoor meet this year (Vanderbilt doesn't either). And while we had 6 home indoor meets (more than anyone else), 8 SEC schools didn't have a home indoor track meet (Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Miss St., South Carolina, Tenn). 5 SEC schools (Auburn, Georgia, Miss St, Mizzou) didn't have a home CC meet (we tied with Arkansas for most with 3).2/7Marine0311 said:
