Buzz Williams is a guidance counselor who happens to be the coach of a basketball team. He recruits players who he deems as being moldable. He doesn't recruit players based on talent. Talent is secondary. His goal isn't to put players in the NBA. If he won 10 national titles and Coleman became POTUS, Coleman would be by far the highlight of his career. I don't think more NIL would do anything for us. I think Buzz's entire goal is to be a father figure and he leaves places when he feels like he can no longer do that for whatever reason.
Now, why he can't be a father figure who takes his kids out into the driveway and teaches them to shoot a basketball, I'll never know. But I firmly believe that basketball is secondary to Buzz and always will be.
