Buzz is gonna take us to three straight tournaments and some of yall show up after losses like we're a Melvin team.

Buzz isn't a great coach, but he's a pretty good one. You can criticize the coaching and the team without being completely hyperbolic.
Good post, context is really important here.

Big picture we are getting what we as Aggies want. 3 consecutive seasons in the tournament. But expectations got away from us a bit I think. Will be disappointing if we can't win some games in the tournament this year but overall the program is trending well.

That said, we can't mortgage the future if IU or another place comes calling. Hope we make good decisions on that front.

He definitely isn't producing results that make him a top 15 paid coach.

Just stop paying him more then and he will continue to drop in the ranking?

Seriously…why make this comparison? It literally is a denial of the reality when he was hired. He agreed to a deal that took him out of a comfortable situation that had significant risk at a school not exactly known for basketball talent.

If you want to fire him fund the buyout.

Buzz Williams is a guidance counselor who happens to be the coach of a basketball team. He recruits players who he deems as being moldable. He doesn't recruit players based on talent. Talent is secondary. His goal isn't to put players in the NBA. If he won 10 national titles and Coleman became POTUS, Coleman would be by far the highlight of his career. I don't think more NIL would do anything for us. I think Buzz's entire goal is to be a father figure and he leaves places when he feels like he can no longer do that for whatever reason.

Now, why he can't be a father figure who takes his kids out into the driveway and teaches them to shoot a basketball, I'll never know. But I firmly believe that basketball is secondary to Buzz and always will be.

this is just my opinion.

I'm certainly not saying he should be fired, in spite of a frustrating week when we use perspective he overall has things in a good course. I like him and want him to stay. I just don't want us to get into a bidding war if he is inclined to leave or listen to other offers.
