I live 1,200 miles away so that's my excuse for not being there. It was a critical game whether you want to believe it or not. It was winnable and coming off back to back losses. Every seed line we give up lessens the chances of advancing.

I get the internal struggle of avoiding being a 2%er and not being a realist. The fact is our backcourt has under performed their abilities and our expections all season except in a few instances. The SEC is more like the NBA now moe than ever and that means you have to have closers on offense. Almost every team in the league has at least one guy that can have a good night and carry them. UT has Johnson and many nights he's almost enough.
When Buzz gets good transfers other teams sign game changers. 4 has been in a season long slump/injury that perhaps has been his worst at A&M thus far in his career and honestly at times hurts the team at critical stretches or moments when the team is counting on him most. Watching the games have been no diversion from our stress and frustrations of the day, but seem lately to simply compound on them. To the college sports world, A&M to them means Anoited & Mediocre. Only our improved performance and results can erase that tag.

There's a dozen mid major coaches working in small college towns getting a quarter of Buzz's pay that would be on the next flight to CS if we called.
Very very true. Yet we complained for years that our entire history we've never taken a proven commodity. It was always a mid major guy. Buzz has flaws. He's a good not great coach. You don't go to three straight tourneys at a non-hoops school if you suck at coaching. It's just kinda hilarious that the goalposts have moved. We hired him wanting us to be a consistent tournament presence after going nearly a decade tenure with only 2 of them. He's got us there. Now it's why aren't we a top 2 seed. I'm all for being disappointed with recent results. It's like people have gotten greedy though and have made it an indictment on Buzz

A large swath of fans made up their minds on Buzz in the first few years. They would rather be right than enjoy the fact that we're playing meaningful games deep into a season for the fourth straight year.
The success of the season up to now had us dreaming really big, and falling short of that could still be disappointing. Expectations were higher than just making the tournament coming into this year, but now somehow for certain folks if we don't make the Final Four it is a failure. Meanwhile, that is still on the table.
We aren't 2023 UConn by any means, but even that team lost 6 of 8 at one point. It's just how college hoops goes at times, even for great teams.

Its like you guys have never watched Buzz coach, once a year the dude takes a vacation and an explanable losing streak. A few years ago we looked solid and went like 2-9 from Mid Jan - Feb
We've had these streaks every season where we look like absolute ****, but always manage to pull out of it. My worry is that this one is starting so late in the season. Hopefully they can get their heads right in the next few days.
But we're a lock.
And those people aren't interested in the team when they are playing well and ranked in the top 10. But when the team starts struggling and the Aggie bat signal goes up that there is a call to be miserable and complain they all come running. Some people just like to be miserable. IT'S THE OL' A&M CULTURE CHOKE!!! Folks I have watched A&M sports for 70 years, this is just the WAY IT IS!! Money ain't gonna fix it nor will talent, coaching, facilities, or fans. Accept it!!!!
This is the first time under Buzz one of these stretches has come at the end of the season. And while it is looking like it could be a five game skid it is only three right now and it isn't outlandish to think this team could win one of the next two. Lots of people with a football mentality of every loss is catastrophic applying that same mentality to basketball
If we didn't have one of these meltdowns once a year I'd be more worried but the timing is conspicuous. We usually finish strong and this as weak of a finish as we've had under Buzz.
