I don't mind the faux violence. I don't mind pretending to shoot bullets. I don't mind any of that. It might be unnecessary but speech needs to be less regulated especially by colleges.
I'm a (very) conservative guy, but "less regulated" is still regulated. If someone flips the bird at an opponent, ref, or fans would that be ok? How about a gang sign would that be ok? There has to be a line drawn between what is acceptable and what is not.
When I coached, I always told my players "let you game do your talking". That is definitely out of fashion these days. To me, finger waving, 3-year old glare downs, finger across neck, flexing your guns looks embarrassingly amateurish.
This falls on Coach Williams. He dictates what is acceptable on his team.
