You know Manny didn't play PG in the tournament last year; Manny didn't exploded until they moved him OFF THE BALL. Why can't Manny take over Boot's role until Phelps is ready?

This non conference schedule might be too aggressive for this bunch. I suppose the losses won't hurt us unless there are too many of them. Which there could be.

We shot 13 more shots than them (but 1 less 3) AND out-rebounded them 42-24, yet they shot more than double the FTs we did. We only turned it over 1 more time than they did.

At some point, that doesn't make any ****ing sense.

Wade is good on the ball too, but it's nice to have the option to move him off of it at times.

We'd have been really cooked tonight without his 7 assists. He made or assisted half our made shots.

That cannot be the case in Buzz's 6th season. He is way too high-priced of a coach to be putting a team on the floor that cannot handle an "aggressive" non-conference schedule. The expectations at this point should be higher. Much, much higher.

Buzz had every built in excuse when he got here. Took over a weak team with no culture under Kennedy. Then there was Covid. But this is his 4th year free and clear of things not in his control. For the amount of money he makes, this team should be better prepared to face a lower-tier Big 12 team.

Gah. Gut wrenching way to open the season. Others have said it but we need Phelps back yesterday.

This will be a quad one game so it's not the end of the world, but it's a huge missed opportunity to build some cushion/get a better seed in March.

Biggest red flags for me:

1. Manny was out of control

2. We got into the bonus with 15 minutes remaining in the 2H. We went just 3/7 from the FT line. Obviously it looked like there were some missed calls, but even if you convert the opportunities we were given it flips the game.

Honestly, I don't think this loss bothers Buzz at all; he knows he turn it around in a couple months, but this team is way better than UCF so it kinda just sucks to watch.

One of those games. It happens. Fouls were ticky tack on one side of the court. But we had the opportunity to put that game away.

This team will be fine. Payne looked solid. Need better play from the guards. It'll come.

He was absolutely awful when he played. He rightfully didn't play much

He's has to be better if we want to reach our ceiling

I have more of a problem playing Carter 30 minutes than I do Hefner 14
