7-2 start in SEC play. We have 9 games left so statistically we will go 7-2 in the remainder. That puts us at 14-4 and in 3rd place. Win a couple games in the SEC tournament and we will be sitting pretty for selection Sunday. Thanks and gig em.

7-2 in the next 9 is going to be a lot harder than. 7-2 in the first 9.

The sec tournament will have zero impact on whether or not we get in. That was proven last year.

Not necessarily. Just because we got hosed last year doesn't necessarily mean that the SEC tournament is completely meaningless. But aside from that if we go 12-6 or better in conference we will be in the dance.

Idk about that. If we go 5-4 over the next 9 we'll be 12-6. The "experts" currently have us on the outside looking in. Will 5-4 be enough to get us there?

It could matter but it will matter very little if we finish 14-4.

Only about 1/3 have us in. If we go 5-4 we have to steal one from Tennessee or Alabama.

We are going to win our next 4 with Georgia, Auburn, and Arkansas all at home and LSU on the road to get to 11-2. Then we just need to take Ole Miss on the road to get to 12. But I would feel better getting to 13 so it may come down to winning one of @MsState, home for Tenn , home for Alabama, or @Missouri.

Ive closely followed college basketball since about 1992 and it's always been the case that conference tournaments don't really help teams on the bubble. Recently someone pointed out to me that it's possible that a conference tournament can actually hurt a team if they lay an egg in the first game of a tournament, and I suppose that's possible. All the work has to be done before the end of conference play.

The issue with us last year is we weren't on the bubble heading into the conference tournaments.

Whatever prep work any of the committee did heading into the last weekend, we weren't even on it. That was the bulk of our problem.

Agree. This week is our rest+reset after half of SEC schedule played.

I believe we would've won last night on the road had our team been well rested with their normal routine, team meeting, shoot around, etc. I'll take 20 more shots than the other team, hitting one third of our threes, only 8 turnovers and just as many free throws as we earned last night - and any other game with those numbers we win 9 out if 10 times.

So, YES. We can win the next 4. It starts with a solid showing (and getting back to our better defense) against Georgia this Saturday with an extra boost of energy from a raucous home crowd!

Won't necessarily be easy - but would love to get back to the dominant first half performance like we showed hosting Mizzou and LSU and at South Carolina!

But blowout or close - just gotta WIN this one and avoid the last potential "bad loss" left on our regular season schedule.

BTHO Georgia to defend home court and stay at "+3" on Buzz's measuring stick!!!

Very dominant win tonight. Puts us at 8-2 in SEC play and just enough to keep us off the bubble. Need to win these next 3 games which is very doable.
