Atlantic 10 All-Rookie pick Jordan Hall transferring to Texas A&M

The transfer portal is a two-way street. Just 18 days ago, Emanuel Miller and Cashius McNeilly entered the transfer portal to step away from the Aggie basketball program. Three days later, freshmen Jaxson Robinson and LaDamien Bradford also entered the transfer portal to make the move away from Aggieland.

In between those two sets of defections, the Aggie basketball program added Wyoming transfer and Mountain West Conference rookie of the year, Marcus Williams.

Last week, Buzz and company doubled down and snagged Henry Coleman III, a power forward who entered the transfer portal from Duke.

Today, the Aggie basketball program has once again made improvements to next season's roster by adding Jordan Hall from Saint Joe’s.

Hall, a 6'7" guard/forward was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team after averaging 10.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game last season.

Hall made a name for himself in his first collegiate season, becoming just the fourth player in Saint Joseph's history to record a triple-double with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists against LaSalle on February 20. He also wrote his name into the Hawks' record books as he tallied 10 or more assists in three games this year, making him one of three former Hawks players to have three or more games with double-digit assists in a single season. His 5.7 assists average was good enough to lead all freshmen across the country in assists per game.

Making 35 percent of his shots from the 3-point line, his shooting will most likely improve, especially with more talent in the post and along the perimeter to help relieve pressure and the defensive focus. His foot speed, or lack thereof, may be a question mark, but what he lacks in elite explosiveness, Hall most certainly makes up in court vision and anticipation.

The most impressive aspect of Hall's game I can gather from the limited amount of film I've seen is that he is very comfortable at any spot on the court. He attacked double teams by making the correct pass out of traps. He shot the ball when open and necessary. He attacked the rim with the bounce and made good decisions as to whether he should shoot, pass or bring it back out. I really like his poise and the pace he plays the game.

And, unlike most freshmen, Hall is fundamentally sound. He can finish in the paint with both the left and right hand. He makes a bounce pass in the lane where only his teammates can catch the ball. He takes the ball from one side of the floor to the other with the correct skip pass and showed great body control.

Jordan Hall is another stellar addition to the Aggies’ roster, as Buzz and the staff continue to utilize the transfer portal to their advantage.

And here’s the transfer portal kicker. Buzz has strategically added talented freshmen who have (somewhat) proven themselves in their first year of college basketball. The last three highly touted transfers all have up to four years of eligibility remaining. These arent graduate transfers that will help boost the program for a year. These are guys that are expected to be playing for the maroon and white for the next two to four years.

You can tell he loves to dish the rock. Really impressive skill set and perfect for Buzz's positionless basketball. A real talent.
