TJ Starks is mentioned in the Cam Buckley Instagram video. He is killing it for Cal-State Northridge.

He's averaging 21 ppg, 3.3 reb and 3 assists. great game vs. Stanford with 19, 5, 4.

Top scoring game is 31 points vs. hawaii

Wish he would've figured it out for the Ags.

Having him this year and last could have been a huge difference maker. Bad timing for issues during a transition. When He was on, he was on. He was a huge difference maker vs UNC in the toruney game.

It is what it is.

He was a bad shooter when he was here. He practiced and got much better.

Volume shooter that got left taking a lot of bad shots at the end of the shot clock due to a tepid offensive effort. Probably needed some private coaching on mechanics and consistency. But also braver than most at being willing to weather scorn if given the ball and a green light.

Easy to see someone like that benefiting from modest changes including less talented opponents. Not that Cal State Northridge is a terrible basketball school. But the Big West is mostly Cal State and second tier University of California schools. With University of Hawaii thrown in for good measure...

No doubt he was forced into some bail out shots, but he had a role in the offense being so bad.

Hate it didn't work out here, but glad he's found a good spot for himself.

I was always a TJ fan and knew he was very talented so not shocked at all by how he is playing.

I also was not shocked he couldn't handle playing for Buzz.

Turns out the best way to put up better stats is to play in a lesser league, who knew.

doesn't always work out that way, especially to the extent of improvement Starks has shown.

Anybody with eyes could see Starks was talented, but got dang his shot selection was terrible while he was here. I remember one time watching him take a few steps past half court and then chuck up a 35-40' footer. Early in the game, ~25 seconds left on the shot clock, and Starks was doing that crap. Worse, there was no reaction from Kennedy, though in fairness to him, maybe he was as dumbfounded as I was and just needed a minute to plan a profanity-laced tirade.

Props to him, he was a frustrating player to root for at times, but thats because you could see he had talent and you just wanted him to take the next step.

I'm more impressed by the fact that TJ is shooting 40% from three. Wow

A&M should try this practice thing you are referring to.
