Why is the most high profile bdf game of the year (biggest regular season game in rape u history) being played at 11 am on Saturday? Lmao.... Does no one care enough to make it prime time like almost every other sonic blockbuster matchup?

Serious question, please explain

I don't think college basketball networks do flex scheduling in-season.

That game would have been pretty easy to predict as a big game.

Lmao the SipBDF is so bad. You'd never catch the SEC putting a matchup of two ranked teams at 11 AM. LOL!

11am ESPN is still a popular spot for basketball and nobody in their right mind would have thought Baylor would be a top 10 team this year, much less #1

I mean they started the year in the top 20 right? Not that wild that they're really good, but this good for sure is crazy.

But yeah that 11 o'clock slot is a good one coming right out of game day.

If we're going to make fun of the Big 12 it should be because their TV deal is so weird that last week a game BETWEEN RANKED TEAMS was only on ESPN+. Madness.

I've been calling that conference the Big 11am for a while, mainly for football of course

The joke is not that great but has a dumb appeal if you drive it into the ground.

That's a lot of words to over-explain that it's basically because Florida vs Kentucky and Louisville vs North Carolina is tomorrow and that ESPN makes the schedule.

In the preseason Florida and Kentucky were #2 and #6, so that game has the 5 PM ESPN slot, Louisville vs North Carolina (preseason #5 and #11) have the 3PM slot and Arizona and Oregon (both preseason top 20) have a west coast tip at 8.

Kansas and Baylor (#3 and #18) were both ranked in the preseason, but there's no reason to think that game would be as big as it is now.

Texags at its best lets make fun of #1 b u. The ags are fighting for a NIT spot the bears are possibly a 1 seed we are talking about when the game is tipping off

Clearly nuance is lost on a Baylor fan such as yourself, but this thread is making fun of the big12 conference, not Baylor.

The networks have a vested interest in promoting and keeping the same schools in power in basketball. It is nice for certain schools to know they will be constantly promoted. And of course, they are able to sell that when recruiting.
