He's a good player because he works hard on the court.

My two cents: you should NEVER slander the walk-on. Never.
1 - he's an Aggie, just like you.
2 - he's paying his way, just like you.
3 - in addition to school, he's busting his ass on the practice court, just like ... err, never mind.
4 - it's not his call (or fault) if he plays. He WANTS to play, so if he's in the top 5-8, good on him.
5 - it IS the fault of the coach for not recruiting somebody better.

^Agree with the above. Frustration built allowing the same div 3/intramural A level player play significant minutes for us three years in a row because:
-bk showed inability to minimize minutes of a weak link- (ex: sub out the stronger player just before a tv timeout & back after)...
-And more importantly, he didn't bring in more than enough guards the following year to make sure the weakness is back on the bench that next year- injuries or not...
Frustration with that lack of roster mgmt spilled over towards the player. That's not right. Not his fault.
