2 already in....Kentucky, LSU
3 left.....Tennessee, Florida, Auburn

I say 4. Would be great to have 25% of the Sweet 16 in.

The big one to get in is auburn. Tennessee should get there.

Should get 4 in now That's a nice representation for a league not considered to be strong in basketball.

4 would be really strong imo. 3 in now. Pulling for the real UT to be # 4. I expected more out of MSU.

Tennessee looks too athletic for Iowa... I know ... way too early to say that but they just look faster by a lot

Tennessee wins but Iowa are fighters. Credit to them.

4 out of final 16, pretty good for football factories.

Not as strong in basketball as in football does not equal not strong in basketball.

Getting four sec teams to the sweet 16 helps A&M basketball tremendously and is definitely worthy of a thread.

A&M benefits from a perception that it plays in a strong conference. Obviously it doesn't help us this year, but it's better for us in the long run

Why would being in the strongest conference/division in the nation be an advantage in football and baseball but not basketball?

It's not the strongest in basketball in part because we don't have true divisions in basketball and in part because one season doesn't prove the strength of the conference. But good progress!

The quote above mine that I responded to was sarcasm.
