Should we bring him back. I liked his toughness on players. Got the most out of guys like Law and J.J. Also doing well at Ranger juco.

Yet you provided no data to back up your claim.LesterHaze said:BQ_90 said:Across all sports? What a stupid thing to sayLesterHaze said:

What data do you have to support your negative, snarky comment directed at a fellow Aggie? Just curious?
That's not what he posted.Philip J Fry said:BQ_90 said:Across all sports? What a stupid thing to sayLesterHaze said:

Please name 4 coaches that had an immediate positive impact on a program with 2 star athletes like he did.

Pat Henry, Evans, Blair, G, right now are better coaches in the history of A&M, if we talking across across all sports,
Expect snarky comments you post wild, stupid things

Maybe Lester should have added in sports people actually care about. When was the last time A&M had a coach hired away to what is the top coaching job in a particular sport?

Billy Gillispie had some of the best players in the history of A&M basketball either already on the team or signed when he took the job. He certainly made chicken salad out of it, but lets not act like we had a team of 10 2 stars or whatever horse**** we want to make it now.
My bad, I guess Gillispie really is the greatest coach in the history of A&M sports then. I think "guiding" Joe Jones probably gives him that extra bump, especially to get past coaches that won national championships here.EXCELL said:
There was nothing special about Acie until BCG got ahold of him.
Jones had the tools but was unguided
AW might as well have been playing street ball
BCG meets woman who will donate kidneyQuote:
In December, Gillispie, 58, was diagnosed with kidney failure. Within six months, his doctor told him, he would need to begin dialysis unless he had kidney a transplant. Gillispie later learned there were more than 100,000 people waiting for a healthy kidneys, and about 4,000 people a year who don't get them soon enough die.

What makes this place insufferable is people posting stupid things like BCG being a top 3 coach acrosss all sports at A&M.
Yes their careers at A&M are better than BCG. He just wants here long enough.jmcfar_98 said:BQ_90 said:

But you claim G and Evans? Now that's funny.
If he was somehow able to win an NJCAA title, I think his story would make for a hell of a movie. As you mentioned to go from HS coach to UK in roughly 13 years is unreal. Then consider his ugly downfall, to finding peace at Ranger, it really is almost full circle and quite a story.SilverTongueDevil said:
BCG was great here but his awful stint with TTU is worth considering.
He had a meteoric rise from high school coach to a basketball Mecca like Kentucky in a 10 year period. He has come full circle and will finish his career near where he started it
The ship has sailed.
