Pearl is a better coach than AJ. Not sure how this will turn out.
I remember a low seeded Pearl team taking the Ags out in their first game at th SEC tournament. BK does not own him or any other SEC coach.GE said:Billy Kennedy owns Bruce Pearl.greg.w.h said:

That's some quality research because the only game that stuck out in my mind was the loss in the tournament. We weren't the only big favorites to lose to that Auburn team and that mini-miracle run though.GE said:'14/'15 @Auburn 71-61 AggiesSteeple said:I remember a low seeded Pearl team taking the Ags out in their first game at th SEC tournament. Smart money doesn't always win

That's why they call it gambling
The smart money only exists when people act on actual non-public information, and I'm not talking about knowing the team strengths and weaknesses exceptionally well. ***HYPOTHETICAL*** If someone saw TJ and Savion getting arrested last night at Northgate and then placed a bet on Auburn - that is smart money.Hop said:Yes...which is why the term "smart money" is a myth.EXCELL said:

People like to assume that if they aren't successful at something then no one could be successful at it.
There's plenty of smart/sharp gamblers out there laying sharp/smart money. They are the ones moving the lines and getting in on the lines right before they move, not the ones betting a half-point worse at Bovada.
bricktop's fights are smart money...Hop said:EXCELL said:

Yes...which is why the term "smart money" is a myth.
Thank you! That's all I was saying in my OP to the guy saying it was smart money to bet against Kennedy...or any coach for that matter. Lines already reflect that factor._lefraud_ said:
Hop, you and GE are in WAY over your heads with regards to the discussion on "smart money". But yes, you are correct that "Kennedy" has already been factored into the line.
I suggest you actually go read the book "Smart Money" (Konik).
But you said this.....which isn't true.Quote:

I can't bet sports without emotion. That's why I lose. That's especially why I never bet on the Ags.Pumpkinhead said:
Any money gambled has always seemed 'dumb money' to me, like playing slots or the wheel at casinos, but I get lots of folks are really into it. And that a few folks are even able to make a living at it. But I'd personally get heartburn relying on sports outcomes for actual income, so all the power to those folks who are somehow able to do that.
