Certainly this part is true. We had a much better than average shooting night against Kentucky, offset by tons of primarily first-half turnovers.

But the LubeCats are not an average team at #13 in the nation.

We will need to get our turnovers to under 10 and have an average or better shooting night for us to beat Bama. It's a road game and all road games are tough by definition. The fact the line is hovering around 7 speaks volumes about what Vegas thinks about our trajectory as a team.

BK teams typically do not take care of the ball well. Especially in tough road environments. Last time we went to Bama it was absolutely brutal... My money would be on them (admittedly would have lost uk game on backdoor cover).

We have an RPI of 133. Only 3 more teams on our schedule have a lower RPI. Texas Southern has an RPI of 141.

Not an exact science, but it shows that we aren't very good.

I'm not trying to be a dick here, but just to reinforce my point:
We played FAR from perfect against an average Bama team, and we won. This is and is going to continue to be a frustrating season, but this team isn't as bad as a lot of people on here think.

This is not a good team, but the players on it do seem to generally play hard and seemed to have 'bought in' (much less knucklehead stuff than last year's more talented bunch). So if they keep doing that, and no injuries further depleting roster, then they will continue to stay competitive in games and probably get to at least 5-6 conference wins IMO, including the one yesterday.

Actually for us I think we saw the key, minimize turnovers, work ball inside. IMO, perfect from us right now is limiting turnovers. If by some chance we could have hit 3s, we might have had easy win.

So they weren't scrappy for the first dozen games, but now, for 3 of 35 games (including 2 unimpressive conference losses) they have been "very scrappy". Nah.
