seems like he would be a freakin star in europe. but also seems like he showed he is good enough to be on a roster in this league so thats gotta be a tough choice.

30 clubs
15 roster spots per club=450 players
5 notional starters per club=150 starters

450x10%=45 which is 1.5 players per club

So the claim is roughly not only does Alex already have skills to start (roughly top 33%), but all 30 clubs are missing out on a gamechanging player.

I read that Maccabi Tel Aviv is considering bringing him over on a 2 year contract worth $1.5 million. With the Lakers bringing in Rondo on a one year deal and the Spurs seeming uninterested in Ball it could be that he goes and makes some money elsewhere for awhile.

How does his NBA standing work? Is he a FA since he was only on a two-way contract last season? Does LA own his rights so he's a RFA?

He signed a 2 year deal last summer with Lakers.

Just read about the Tel Aviv possibility. That's going to be tough to turn down unless he's guaranteed a roster spot with the Lakers.
