Top G-League plays from this season. He's been playing extremely well and getting chances with the Lakers NBA team as well. He'll be playing with them against the Mavs tonight.

If he would have played this confidently/aggressive in college can you imagine what would have happened that year ...

Or might be the fact that he can spend all of his time and energy in playing basketball.

Caruso himself should probably get the largest percentage of credit for what he did in college and now as a pro.

Aggie Career assists and steals leader. And a large percentage of guys who go play in the G-League never step on an NBA court.

He improved every year at A&M. It's not a shock that he continues to improve. Impeccable work ethic.

What are the chances he makes the LA Lakers squad next season? I understand he's on a "2-way" contract and that the Lakers are trying to conserve his remaining contract days with them. That sounds like interest but I have no feel for how hard it is to jump out of G league.

His g league team is playing in the single elimination playoffs right now against Oklahoma on one of the espn channels. Alex isn't playing because he was with the Lakers last night.

That Laker's highlight was impressive, even more so because he did the same pass to the same guy in the G league clip.

Maybe it's just one of those things where it doesnt quite translate from G-league to NBA, but he upped his aggressiveness big time in Gleague, but doesnt seem to do it when he gets the call up to NBA.

NBA G League Erie Bayhawks head coach Josh Longstaff and former Georgetown University coach John Thompson III will serve as USA assistant coaches.

Featuring seven players boasting of previous FIBA World Cup Qualifying game experience and all 12 athletes possessing NBA G League experience, USA Basketball announced today after four practices the official 12-man roster for the USA World Cup Qualifying Team that will compete in the third window of FIBA Americas World Cup Qualifying. The U.S. will face Mexico (2-2) on June 28 in Mexico City and play Cuba (0-4) on July 1 in Havana.

Named to the USA World Cup Qualifying Team were:
Taylor Braun(Salt Lake City Stars)
Alex Caruso(Los Angeles Lakers)
Reggie Hearn (Grand Rapids Drive)
Jonathan Holmes(Maine Red Claws)
Amile Jefferson(Iowa Wolves)
Kevin Jones(Baskonia, Spain)
Nick Johnson(Austin Spurs)
Trey McKinney Jones(Fort Wayne Mad Ants)
Xavier Munford(Wisconsin Herd)
David Stockton(Stockton Kings)
Rashawn Thomas(Oklahoma City Blue)
Marcus Thornton(Canton Charge).

"They're together," said USA World Cup Qualifying Team head coach Jeff Van Gundy when asked what he liked about his 12-member squad. "This is a good group of committed athletes that I think are going to represent us well. That doesn't mean that we'll win, but they'll represent us well and they're going to work hard and compete for each other and for the country, and that's all you can ask.

"It's a brutally hard decision and all 14 of the players here were deserving. It came down to keeping an extra point guard versus an extra wing and those aren't easy decisions."
