Headed in early Thursday morning to take in the WGC Match Play during the day and staying near Austin Country Club for the weekend. Any good bars around there or am I better served heading towards downtown?

I've done Woodrow's on Burnet Road, good Ags turnout typically. Not too far from where you'll be, go east on 2222 to Burnet, its just south of the intersection.

Woodrow's is fun. There should be other Aggies there. I'll probably be there.

I'm truly curious what in San Marcos specifically would make it worth it for OP to drive there during rush hour traffic to watch the game when Austin certainly has no shortage of bars?

CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

I've worn the same shirt both games. And it can't be washed for superstitious reasons. It smells bad. Otherwise would join y'all.

Anywhere on rock Rose in the domain will be fun. If you are staying by Austin CC, the grove is right down the road on bee cave rd. I work right across 360 from Austin CC.
