It's only one game, but our spacing and overall strategy were light years better then the past few.
The actual entry passes were better, but it was mainly Hogg making them to Davis and they were already good at it.
There was one specific play that resulted in a 3, that was a Stark contrast.
Gilder had the ball in the corner and made an entry to Davis in the block. He then immediately cleared out to the opposite side of the key to create spacing. When they initially doubled down Davis was patient and faked a pass for them to.leave, then he started backing and down, when they doubled for real he passed out for an open 3.

Last year someone would have just ran lazily into the space Davis was working in it seemed


Anyone else notice similar trends?

On the Davis front, his finish of that alley oop, holy schnikies. I did not think that was part of his game

Hogg's form somehow looked even better this game than last 2 years, and it was already pretty smooth
He put a lot of work in this offseason

Correct...and since they can shoot, the D can't sag and pile on Davis.


It's amazing what 52.6 3FG% will do for the post game.

Nice to see Hogg get hot and nice to see Davis playing above the rim. Starks played very well once he realized he couldn't get to the rim at will. We probably won't win by 25 vs any more top 10 teams but we should win a lot of games. Flag and Wilson played well as well and Flag will get better. This team should be pretty good in a couple of months.
