For those who aren't familiar The Basketball Tournament is a 64 team, 5 on 5, single elimination tournament with a $2 million winner take all pot for the winner. Open to anybody 18 or older.

There are various ways to enter but one is to get lots of votes from "fans." Getting votes is one thing Texags does pretty well.

I just flipped on ESPN and saw a team called "Golden Eagles" comprised of mostly former Marquette players.

We could have Logan (or maybe Method Man) as the coach and he could put together a team of guys with ties to A&M.

What do you think?

I'll tell you what that's a damn good idea!

We don't:
1. Run under screens.
2. Give up open 3s.
3. Have empty possessions.

We do:
1. Box out
2. Defend
3. Make FTs
4. Foul under ten seconds up 3.

Yes, the Warriors could enter a team to play in it (would they get a #1 seed?), if They decided splitting $2 million among themselves was worth 3 weekends of their time.

Apparently some pros have definitely played in it, because they mentioned timing some things to work around the NBA summer league schedule.

Sounds like a lot of coaching work. I'd rather just recruit a bunch of 5-star level players and then roll the ball out and take a nap during the games.

someone get ahold of Brian Gahan, most dominant Rec ball player in history
was recruited off the IM courts to walkon by BCG and spent a year or two on the team, but that guy was straight unstoppable in pickup

I once saw Gahan with a squad of complete scrubs run over Antoine Wright and a few other scholly guys, didn't miss a single shot. Antoine was pissed went and grabbed more of his boys to run it back only to lose again

dude scored at will from anywhere on the floor, dead sprint pullups, 20ft faders, dunks in traffic etc

surprised at the lack of well-known names... I looked at most of the rosters and Jared Sullinger, Earl Boykins, Cartier Martin, DeJuan Blair are some of the bigger names.

Texas Tech alumni played and I don't even recognize many of those guys. Jace Amaro is their money man.
