Some recent new highlights.

He is a smurf but definitely cat quick. It would amuse me to watch him in the open court vs bigger D1 players trying to stay in front of him. He is too dang close to the ground and dribbles the ball like it is on a thread, so you ain't stealing it. And it seems like he can shoot too so it is not like you can just back off of him.

But kind of like Thomas for the celtics, seems like would be a major liability on defense.

I am very skeptical because of the size, but at the same time intrigued whether he could be successful in D1. Still just a junior to be in HS.

Biggest part of playing defense as a guard is keeping the man in front of you. He certainly has more than enough wheels for that. Excited to see him as an Aggie.

Tyler Ulis was SEC Defensive POY last year. He measured 5'8 without shoes at UK's "Combine" in both 2014 and 2015. If Wheeler wants to be a great defender, his height won't matter. He should be able to wreak havoc on ball handlers in a way we haven't seen in Reed in the BK era.
