That's a tough RPI to digest. Hopefully Caldwell will be ready and can avoid a substantial amount of freshman foibles at the PG.

If RW stays, we could go from a top 100 RPI/NIT team to a Top 10 RPI/Elite 8 team.

Top 100 boys! There are 346 other division 1 teams in college basketball and so that means over 200 teams are staring up at us.

Plus when you add Caldwell to this team that's an automatic 40-50 jump in the bag.

Look at any of the bracket predictors. Kentucky, Florida, S. Carolina, and Arkansas are in.

Vanderbilt is very close to in. Georgia, Tennessee, and Ole Miss need to go on a run to get in.

After their road win yesterday, everyone is saying they are a lock. If they lose at Florida, that won't drop them out.

Maybe if they lost at Florida, at home to Georgia, and in the first game of the SEC tournament they might become a bubble team again, but even that is unlikely given their recent string of wins.

no they are not

Resume really isn't that far off from South Carolina's

RPI: Arkansas, 31; South Carolina, 30
Top 50 wins: Arkansas, 3; South Carolina, 4
Vs. 51-100: Arkansas, 7-0; South Carolina, 8-2

Arkansas does have one more "bad loss" than SC though, the Missouri loss sticks out like a sore thumb.

Vandy is a weird team because if they win a game this week they're probably pretty safely in, but if they lose both they'll probably be out. I just can't see the committee taking an at-large team with 16 losses (assuming they don't win the SECT.)

So, they're in now, but that doesn't really mean anything because of what's on their schedule this week. They could do exactly what's predicted of them this week and be out of the tournament.

Us and Vandy really got a good conference schedule for resume building. Vandy got 2 cracks at Kentucky, Florida, Arkansas, us and Tennessee. South Carolina and Iowa St. at home. Good for them for taking advantage while we did not.

Ours wasn't anything special except we got Kentucky twice. We always get Arkansas twice so I guess that helps. But we only caught Florida and South Carolina once each and both on the road.
