Coming off that really bad loss @Missouri, we'll see what Vandy looks like tonight.

I watched the second half of that game vs. Mizzou, and they didn't look at all like the same team that played in College Station. They looked lethargic. That Kornet kid was particularly really bad, jacking up missed three after missed three, and the smaller Mizzou players kept beating the taller Vandy guys to the boards getting lots of offensive rebounds. When those guys played us in College Station, they looked like Golden State Warriors in the first half making even contested threes. But they couldn't buy at shot @Mizzou.

This game is at Vandy. I'll assume a loss based on that info alone.

I just like to read it. Doesn't mean much to me, but I always find it interesting.

Probably because Kim English is a better coach than Billy Kennedy.

Setting college basketball lines -- especially this late in the season -- isn't exactly rocket science.

Why do we stylize University of South Carolina as USCe?

I know that we want to distinguish from University of Southern California, but why use the "e"?

There isn't an "e" in their name.

So looking through these numbers:

1. Our turnover problem is even worse than generally reported. The number of raw turnovers is usually discussed but we are also 251 is possession length (with 1 being the shortest) so our turnover % is actually worse than our raw total turnovers (21.2%, being 312 overall).
2. There is only one thing we do really well and that is offensive rebound (38%, 7th in the country).
3. Well if you rebound really well what is the last thing you want to do? Turn it over. Because then you don't even have a chance to get a rebound.
4. And if you turn it over a lot but just really need to get shots up because you rebound so well, what is the last thing you want to do? Have long possessions (because ever extra second of possession time increases your odds of turnovers).
5. Which goes back to what I have been saying is that we are trying TOO hard to get the ball to Tyler.

I'm not sure the origins but I know Carolina fans hate it---they don't like being the other "USC."

I'm not sure why folks can't just use USC when the contest makes it clear. Or say South Carolina. Or almost anything else.

I see lots of people post USCw (usc west) as well as USCe (usc east). Not sure why that would bother anybody. Then again I get annoyed by tamu, ATM, Texas AM, and all the other dumb things I see for A&M on message boards. I guess some people can't find the ampersand.

There's not many of us left here on this board, so the bar for getting banned may be higher than you think.

Carolina lost the trademark suit that resulted in a court order to cease and desist interlocking USC. They now emphasize a really cool, interlocking SC instead.

Of course since I graduated from high school in Southern California and have a few more friends that are Bruins, I lean to using U$C to refer to the west coast school...
