If thats the excuse we are definatley not a basketball school. Duke, UNC, Kentucky could be winless and still pack there arenas.

Heck not me! About 75% people on this forum make that comment on here all the time. Its actually very hilarious.

Student section is full. Old ag section isn't near half full

No one says we're a bball school. And if they do they are joking. Bball schools don't allow their coach to stick around 6 yrs with only 1 tourney appearance.

Students are out in full force tonight! Other areas....not so much!
Lower section on a&m bench baseline is full to the top with students. Arkansas bench side looks full too but I haven't seen all of it yet.

There are students in the 2nd deck. Student attendance is fine tonight.
A large percentage (probably even the majority) of the non-faculty season ticket holders reside in either Houston or DFW -- neither is going to make the drive to try and make a 6PM game against an un-ranked club... And especially not for a team as bad as ours has looked.

I remember a time when our admin cared so little about basketball they wouldn't even replace the bulbs in the lights in G rollie. Shelby Metcalf, who IMO was probably the best coach in A&M history in any sport, had to fight through that.

My opinion, college sports are in the process of jumping the shark. The kids aren't in to it.

Because they have a history of quality basketball. They know it would only be 1 year of being down. We suck. We suck very badly for the money we spend on coaches and facilities.

By a wide margin. But complaining about attendance is the dumbest thing on message boards. Nobody that has the ability to make games but doesn't has ever thought "man, these guys are right, I'm going to start going more often.
Poor product. No buyers. Period. People will come when they see the administration put a team out there worth watching.
Only reason football had viewers still is because there are only 7 home games, you get drunk before the game and decide to still attend and at least we get our hopes up with a good undefeated start.
