These percentages at the very least have to be boiled down to P5 games in order to have any significance at all

not really - half the SEC and the bottom third of a couple of others get routinely whipped by the higher mid majors

No problem! However, I think it would make a lot more sense to do so after the non-con schedule for the remainder of the month of December is in the books so I'll report back in about 3 weeks.

Very true, hence the qualifier in bold...of course you could also add in the AAC and A-10, but aside from that there aren't really any other leagues that are strong enough as a whole to be used as a metric for schedule strength.

LOL, aren't we all? Contrary to what some on this board would have you believe, there are actually Ags out there that have the capacity to enjoy hoops AND football. Amazingly, it turns out that love for the two are not mutually exclusive...And FYI, Power 5 is not a football-only classification.

Big 12: 18-12, 60% - 24-17, 59%
Big 10: 30-33, 48% - 36-34, 51%

As pathetic as those numbers are, I'm blown away to find that the conference with the most Top 50 RPI teams right now (7) is none other than the SEC! Even if that number drops off to maybe four, that would be huge for us.
