I said I THINK he will be. Huge difference. The argument was whether or not he'd be a lottery pick.

Back to the OP's original question, I'd give him most "above the rim" since Elonu. We haven't really had an athletic big man since then (although I'd hoped Elijah Thomas was going to become one.)

But Jordan Green was super athletic in high school, he had several jaw dropping dunks. But given that he's quite a bit shorter and didn't play in the post, he wasn't above the rim very often.

Williams might certainly be the 'longest' player that we have had since Jordan & Elonu.

That 7' 4" measured wingspan is pretty dang long. Trocha has been measured at 7' 2".

Jordan's pre-draft combine measured him at an incredible 7' 6". I'm guessing Elonu was probably somewhere like Williams (maybe a bit longer than Tonny but not touching Deandre) but didn't find his measurements from a quick googling.

Ray Turner was not long at all by post standards. Average arm length...he was 6-foot-8 and played 6-foot-8. Williams is a little over 6-foot-8 and plays 6-foot-11 with those arms.

I'm going to go ahead and say he's the most above the rim player since Robert Williams. There hasn't been another one like him here ever, including Deandre (while in college).
