I check HEB and Kroger with no luck.

Any guess to when fresh whole turkeys will be back in stores?

Ask the butcher. I bet they'll be there sooner if they know people are wanting to purchase them.

I read a few weeks ago that there was likely going to be a turkey shortage this year.

I've shot Turkey and Ducks. Family and I don't like to eat it. So I don't hunt them anymore.

I was able to purchase a split turkey breast at Central Market on Saturday. I'd already checked the local Kroger's and Market Street. The closest they had was breast 'tenderloin' from Jennie-O (something like that) that was injected salt/sugar/spices/all manner of crap that should only be in my turkey if I put it there myself.

CM didn't have anything else other than ground turkey.

Glad they're back up and running. Personally not a fan of their bird - it's a bit too smokey for our tastes.

I still appreciate what they do and it's great they've been able to rebuild.
