Lincoln grew up in west Texas, right around the corner from my parents home town of Friona, Tx. Folks from that part of the world love them some oven brisket. It makes sense when you think about the fact there aren't many trees in the area to cut down for smoking meat. As a young lad growing up in Amarillo, the first time I saw a photo of the Aggie bonfire, I thought they were going to run us out of trees in a few years tops!
