-Equal parts flour/oil, whisk.
-5 minutes in microwave, take out and whisk (bowl is hot!).
-2 more minutes, then take out and whisk.
-1 more minute, then whisk again (bowl is very hot!)
-Now, at this point you should have a blonde roux. From here microwave in minute increments to your desired color.

I tossed in my trinity at "milk chocolate" and voil! Dark chocolate roux. Whole process took about 20 minutes for 3:3 ratio.

Agree....just be careful not to drink too many beers and end up with roofing tar.
