The wife and I are headed to the Willamette Valley, and there's an excellent seafood market near where we are staying. I'll have access to a grill, and will want to make some grilled oysters. I'm thinking of just hitting them with a splash of white wine and some butter, parsley, and garlic. Anyone else have a good grilled oyster recipe they like that uses very few ingredients?

Man those North Pacific its don't need anything but a squeeze of lemon and a glass of white

But if you must grill them maybe just some lemon, garlic powder and parsley

Garlic, butter and Parmesan. That's all they need.

This right here! Get the flame rolling, use a lot of garlic butter a la Drago's!

I haven't actually made the recipe but I've had them in the restaurant. The chipotle bourbon butter oysters at Hog Island in Napa were great.

There might be good grilled oysters but every one I have had might as well have been fondue mixed with oyster juice.

Never had one as good a fresh shucked oyster

I agree with this. Seems like a waste to grill oysters other than gulf oysters

Might as well try the original from Drago's

You didn't ask, but I'll go ahead: White Rose, DePont, Brick House. While Beaux Frerer is delicious, the tasting wadnway underwhelming.

Towel on bottom to cradle evenly, towel on top to hold or use a glove. Pop that hinge muscle on the back and carefully lift the top off. Make sure and cut the muscle so it comes out easily too. Good oyster knife is a must or you will just be tearing **** up. Most oysters have a deeper side and put that side facing up.
