Trying to get deeper marinade flavor into chicken. If I buy an unbrined chicken, will the marinade soak in deeper?

If so, where do I get unbrined chicken?

Search Craigslist for people wanting to re-home chickens because they are moving or the HOA busted their illegal suburban egg farm.

No, it won't. If you want deeper marinade penetration, you need to inject.
To the second question, where are you buying your chickens? Most aren't brined to begin with.

You'll only pick up about 3% marination at atmospheric pressure.
If you tumble the product under vacuum you can absorb up to 20%. That said, vacuum tumblers are not cheap.
The better solution (no pun intended), would be to inject directly into the bird.
