Looks great! Are you not worried about the heat from the sides of the griddle/burners on the wood? Mine puts out a ton of heat on the sides. Maybe the back too but I've never felt it.

Looks cool but how are you dealing with the grease trap on the rear?

That looks really nice! I see it has the grease drain on the front. I would be concerned about the heat that escapes on the sides and back. If you set anything within a couple inches of the side of mine it will melt most things.

However, if that is capable of blocking off the wind you may not get as much heat coming out from underneath it.

Really nice craftsmanship. Give us a good review after you use it a few times.

They are pretty damn big, and not especially light. Coleman RoadTrip would be a good alternative, as you can get half grill/half griddle (I have one and take it camping), and I think you can get a full griddle plate too.

However, how about something like this:

I'd say it depends on how much room you have to take it. Ive packed mine up for a weekend getaway and it wasn't too bad. Pulled the top off, folded the table legs in and threw it in the bed of the truck.

i guess what I was really wanting to know is does it pack up well? I mean it isn't like a big ass gas grill from Home Depot. Enough for a single person to move around.

i didn't think it was bad. The top is heavy but doable by yourself. The frame doesn't weigh anything.

I'll take mine wherever as long as I have the room to pack it up.
