If you're looking for something unique to Aggieland, I'd say Stella Southern Cafe, Jesse's Taqueria, El Sol Dr Mexico, or Hullabaloo Diner.

First Watch on Texas near University
Mess Waffles in Century Square
Jessie's Taqueria on E 29th and Briarcrest in Bryan

All great options.

First Watch is the best breakfast in town. I don't care that it's a chain.

Hullabaloo is disgusting. I'd rather eat at Kettle or IHOP.

Stella's Southern Cafe is okay if all you want are carb-based dishes that are bland. Their biscuits and gravy, however, are an exception.

Jessie's is THE place for breakfast tacos.

Cilantro in DTB has a corn tortilla that I'd put up against Jesse's any day. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I've never had anything at Jesse's that I didn't like. Put all your favorite things on a breakfast taco (you'll only need one - they're huge). The bacon is nice and thick. The carne guidada is the best in town.
