I have been looking through some old family recipes from the Bohemian side of my family. Some recipes call for duck lard. Does anyone have any idea where this might be bought. I'm in Richardson. I tried the Hmart in Plano to no avail.
HEB website shows 2 brands. Searching w/College Station zip code shows one is available at the new Jones crossing store. Both are at several stores around Houston.SpiderDude said:
I've bought duck fat at HEB even. Its pretty popular in cuisine lately...Duck Fat fries, etc. are all the rage. I bought mine to fat wash Rye Whiskey.

Central Market. It keeps longer than butter and tastes awesome.
I didn't even know butter could go bad. How old would it have to be?FIDO*98* said:Pinche Abogado said:

You're not using butter fast enough
