So assuming you make a great pot of beans and have a meal or two w them. Now w the left overs you want to make some refrieds for breakfast, nachos, or chalupas.
What are the boards go to way of doing theirs?

Heat lard in a pan until it's hot.
Add beans and mash with a potato masher.
Season, adjust consistency with water, and consume mass quantities.

I use bacon grease vs white lard. Add beans and mash and I like to fry off most of the water. I like them thicker and not as runny.

Great example of keep it simple and good food doesn't always take massive effort.

Coconut oil > lard. More saturated fat.

No clue why but my grandmother said add a scant(her word) of milk as they start to firm up.
