Been doing limited carb since the beginning of the year and decided to jump full bore into Keto late last month. So far the results are incredibly encouraging (15lbs on keto, 30 since Jan).

Don't get me wrong I'm definitely enjoying the steaks, bacon, avocado, eggs, and fish, but looking for more recipes to add some better variety. Anybody else on this wagon care to share recipes or ideas?

Most recipes can be "ketofied" fairly easily.


Some go to substitutes:

Cauliflower rice.
Porkrinds for chips if dipping or crushed for breading
Eythtritrol for sugar
Fathead crust for pizza or pretzels
Cloud bread for buns

I like to get creative with breakfast scramblers
Love doing bunless burgers with broccoli
Pok is fairly easy to make if you are into sushi.

No idea what the exact macros of this are but I feel like it's mostly keto. One of my favorite ways to each chicken these days!

I used that Peruvian chicken recipe this weekend for some bone-in skin-on chicken thighs, I can attest it is legit. Very easy, big flavor.

Fathead pizza is pretty decent.

HEB carries low carb tortillas that are just as good as regular off-the-shelf tortillas (which is to say not very when compared to homemade, but they'll keep your fingers clean while you stuff protein/fat into for face).

If you like to keep it simple, roasted veggies (brocolli, asparagus, cauliflower, squash, brussel sprouts) are easy and really the best way to cook them flavor wise.

Pork rinds and queso seems a little wierd, but it works.

You can also look up almond flour recipes. I haven't tried many, but there's tons of 'em out there.

Grilled chicken wings tossed in buffalo sauce is nice on the weekends.

I go with pork rinds and guac as well, not perfect but it gets the job done.

My keto recipes are as follows:

Grill some meat
Guac with pork rinds
jalapeno poppers
handfuls of mixed nuts

Occasional treat with Breyer's carb smart ice cream.

That's pretty much it.

Thanks for all the tips.

Made keto tortillas Saturday that were basically egg white & coconut flour crepes. Roughly 1.5 carb per equivalent corn sized tortilla. Was nice to have something to hold everything together for a change. Im curious if baked or fried if t would make a decent tortilla chip replicant, but hadnt though of pork rinds so that is a great tip!!

Pantry is slowly filling up with exotic flours, sweeteners, and thickeners so I'll branch out more on recipes soon. Its a lot of work, but the results are encouraging.

I dont mind the same things over and over, but since I need about a years worth of recipes to get to goal weight variety wouldnt hurt! Keep the tips coming or share success stories!

What kind of Pork Rinds do you guys like best? I used to eat the hot and spicy ones you can buy at gas stations but I imagine the sodium is crazy.

Mac's pork rinds are decent, you can normally get them at Wal Mart.

Other keto friendly snacks I eat on a normal basis:
-Macadamia nuts and pecans
-Blue Diamond Habanero BBQ almonds (these are basically crack)
-Charcuterie (I get a variety pack at Costco that has Capocollo, Prosciutto, and Salami)
-Costco Protein Bars (they are tasty and only 3-4 net carbs)
-Jack Links Beef Sticks
-Whatever fat bomb I have on hand
-Eggs
-Bacon
-Shakes made from almond milk, isopure protein powder, and coconut oil (you can buy it powdered on amazon)

I recently discovered Enlightened Ice Cream and it's not bad at all, perhaps the best of the lower carb ice creams. The only flavor of Halo Top I've liked so far is PIstachio, Breyers has some decent low carb ice cream as well. I still consider any of them cheating so I don't eat ice cream often, maybe once every couple of weeks.

Theese are by far my favorite. They don't have the smell like others and they are delicious. Also the brand name Epic is good too.

Negavite. Hot pork rinds dipped in queso is the shiz. The pork rind has all the holes to really soak up and hold the queso, the queso negates the mouth drying aspect of the pork rind. It really is a near perfect combination.
