I used Sweet Baby Rays and apple butter and apple juice and Frank's and some cayenne pepper. I would NOT use the apple butter again; it was fine but i just didn't dig it hard.

I was pretty surprised the brown sugar and the honey didn't do more for it from the first glazing.

I couldn't find apple jelly so I used apple butter. There's no butter in it, just cinnamon and spice. If you can find jelly, go with it. I don't think it's acdeal killer either way.

The thing about apple jelly is it's relatively neutral, especially as you are using Apple juice. I think it's more for the pectin as a thickener for a glaze. I would not think apple butter would work.
