Seems like a pretty poor way to get protein. Did you mean to say you're drinking it for the sodium?

Homemade sometimes. Sometimes not.
If Homemade we do no salt. Add celery, black pepper.

If store bought ae do
Pacific brand turkey bone broth. 85 milligrams per cup.

We won't but the chicken because it has too much sodium.

Also no this is not my only way to eat protein. Just something to dip once and a while.

String cheese has more protein than broth.

I made stock yesterday and sometimes I do have a bowl just for a snack. It just seems like way more sodium than protein (both of which are abundant in the American diet) when you are buying it.

Not if it has no sodium. Flavor it with spices. Also 85 mgs per cup will not kill you. Three times a week.

It also is not adding much protein

What am I missing here? There's very little protein in chicken broth.

9 grams in one cup of turkey broth.

It is not the only way I get protein

More like 2 grams protein if it's actual strained broth.

One cup of turkey broth can give you 20% of the recommended daily allowance of protein. I mean, if the recommended daily allowance is 10g.

Thank you for the ones who actually had a response.

I meant turkey bone broth.

This is the what I sip. Nutritional value.

If I am missing something. I apologize.

Bone broth is very good for you especially if you make it yourself.

bone broth, aka stock?

yes it is a stock but takes much longer to make. The bones actually break down and dissolve.

You're not dissolving bones by boiling them in water. However, you can get them to a point where they fall apart. A bone broth and a well made stock are exactly the same thing. One just has a better marketing name and cost 3x more.
