Pretty sure Pollo Campero is from Guate!

But seriously, what is Guatemalan food? I've spent a decent amount of time down there and don't feel like there's anything distinctive. There's a soup (can't remember the name now) they're proud of but that's about it.

There's a place called Guatelinda in Denton. Very very good.

Campero is Salvadorian and I agree 100% with your take on Guatemalan food. It is basically very similar to Southern/Eastern Mexican food with some of the other Central American type things a little incorporated. They eat Mexican style tortillas and the beef and grilled foods they eat are more Central American than anything original. Guatemala does have some very good food, I like the freshness of a lot of what they prepare.
