Best ribs in St. Louis?

We'll be in St. Louis this summer and my son and I want to try the best ribs. We want to see how they compare to our dry rub variety.

Any recommendations?

Pappy's smokehouse is the most marquee name for St Louis BBQ. Having said that, what are you expecting rib wise? To my knowledge, St Louis doesn't really have a predominate style of BBQ and the St Louis Spare Rib is just a method of trimming ribs and nothing to do with the actual flavor profile.

As stated St. Louis ribs are only trimmed spare ribs. Pappy's might be the biggest place but I didn't think they were anything special. Haven't been to Bogart's but they are another big one downtown. Don't go to Sugarfire, they are terrible. Sorry but St. Louis isn't a very good food town for BBQ.

Go to East St Louis. Look for a sign next to an old Torino that says "rib tips"...inside that Torino is my cousin. Ask him where the best BBQ is.

Pappys is good, and I enjoyed Sugar Fire BBQ in Creve Coeur as well. And I know you didn't ask, but go to Broadway Oyster Bar and order an alligator cheesecake. You will thank me later

You need to go to the far west side for top notch ribs. The best ribs in St. Louis are in Kansas City...
