the red mk4 is on for 79 dollars right now.

I went ahead and got it because my green thermopen does not seem as fast as my old red one I had a few years ago.

I ended up with a Pop for $30. It looks like it does everything the pen does, just in a different package and you have to manually turn it on.. Also the display stays on longer with the pop.

They have really expanded their line-up to way more consumer products. If I didn't have a certain kickstarter item coming my way **any day now** I'd buy one of their probe sets.

I really like the mk4. I like backlight and it resets after timing out with just a little motion instead of having to close it and reopen.

I have the Therma pen and pop and use the pop more. The pop takes a few seconds longer to get the temperature but I enjoy the smaller size and the rotating display.
