So since I'm Irish (though more Scottish) my mom has decided she's going traditional Irish foods.

Corned Beef
Cabbage (sauted with bacon)
Potatoes (not sure on the preparation)
Soda bread (with chocolate chips instead of raisins)

Not sure what beverages we are having yet

So what are you having? Anything interesting?

Pretty much missed the boat yesterday... we had watermelon for breakfast, pizza for lunch, Chinese for dinner and drank Canadian Whisky while watching the tourney.

I did make some Irish coffee so it wasn't a total loss...

Supposedly, Irish folks have bacon and cabbage on St Patrick's Day. However since they settled near Jews in America, they substituted corned beef.

We've had the "traditional Irish St Patrick's Day dinner" for the last ten years. I didn't know until yesterday that it's more Jewish than Irish.
