I am planning to have 12-15 people over for a superbowl party and need some good recipes. Preferably appetizer type stuff, as I will be keying in on snack type foods for the majority of the food spread. Thanks and GO!

bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers are always a hit.

1. Slice Jalapenos in half and remove all seeds.
2. Fill with cream cheese
3. Wrap in Bacon and Toothpick it
4. I like to sprinkle with Adobe Seasoning
5. Throw on the grill or in the oven until bacon is done.

if you're going to do the queso and you don't have sodium citrate you better order it from modernist pantry today so it might get to you by Saturday.

I always make buffalo chicken dip and pizza dip.

Its really basic, highly processed, junk food, but everyone seems to like it.


Buffalo Chicken dip

-1 rotisserie chicken from grocery store (precooked)
-6oz package of cream cheese
-16oz of shredded cheddar cheese
-1/4 cup of ranch
-1/3 cup of buffalo/franks red hot sauce
-2 aluminum pie pans(not deep dish)

• shred the chicken and then set aside
  
• soften the cream cheese in a pan.
  
• mix in buffalo sauce(you can adjust the strength)
  
• mix in shredded chicken
  
• pour mixture into aluminum pie pans
  
• top with liberal amounts of shredded cheese
  
• drizzle ranch on top
  
• toss it in the oven at 350 till the cheese bubbles
  

serve with tostitos scoops


pizza dip is pretty easy too. I just layer cheese, pizza sauce, and pepperoni in a pie pan several times then bake till the cheeze bubbles. I serve that with toasted baguette slices

Ingredients

3 cups Original Bisquick® mix
1 pound uncooked bulk pork sausage*
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (16 ounces)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves, crushed (I omit)
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley or 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes (I omit)
Barbecue sauce or chili sauce, if desired

Directions
1 - Heat oven to 350ºF. Lightly grease bottom and sides of jelly roll pan, 15 1/2x10 1/2x2x1 inch.
2 - In large bowl, stir together all ingredients except barbecue sauce, using hands or spoon. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Place in pan.
3 - Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brown. Immediately remove from pan. Serve warm with sauce for dipping.

Bump for 2018! What are you making? I've got 10lbs if wings going on the pit. Half will get tossed in Frank's Extra Hot and half in a Sweet Heat for the kids. Prolly some sodium citrate queso. Not sure what else.
