The shoppette can have some gems. Even the 24 hour gas station at hood would get ER, EHT and Blantons, ECTB,ECBP

As far as garrison, I recommend their single barrel cask strength and then their limited offerings such as Cowboy Bourbon, Laguna Madre. Their small batch and single barrel offerings at 94 proof are not worth the price.

Just curious where the Hye Rye stacks up in the lineup? Most of my friends put laguna first and then it becomes a fight for 2nd and 3rd.

I can totally see why they put Laguna First then the other lines 2nd and 3rd. Before I took a deep dive into Garrison, that would have been my ranking as well.

I think Hye Rye is cut from a different cloth. That garrison brother's "funk" is present but not overwhelming and it truly taste like a high rye bourbon and is delicious. I would buy multiples of this at $200.

My ranking is: Hye Rye then Cowboy '22 then single Barrel Cask Strength followed by Laguna

I agree the Hye Rye is by far the best. Single barrels and batches are hard. 22CB is good but previous batches were really bad so until it is consistently good, I cannot recommend CB over LM. Other than the LM I would put all their finished stuff pretty low.

Lady Bird is getting lots of positive reviews from what I've seen and not just GB fans.

I'd love to split a bottle with someone. I'm the resident GB lover in my group and they all roast me. Be happy to go 50/50 with someone

Back around the Dollar Store for handies. But seriously, good luck. I lucked out on one (JD10) from a buddy who traded a case of ER to get it. Didn't help his store with the trade, but building relationships is more important than a few bottles.

I was lucky in that he saved it for me because I was out of town when all the good ****e hit recently (Taylor, ER, Blanton's Gold, etc.) and I got nada.

So it worked out but I had 0 luck looking all over B/CS and in SA. I did see a few in the wild but the mom and pop shops wanted $300+

F off with that ish.

No disagreement here.

In my humble opinion, the gold label single barrel barrel proof is some of the best jd releases I've had.

And it's on the shelf and readily available!

Went out to dinner this weekend and they were asking $37 for a pour of the JD 10.
