Where did you get the Old Taylor? I don't recall ever seeing that label before. All i see is the 1.75 with the non age stated label.

I'm in Houston and found it at Fiesta Beverage Mart. I had never seen it with an age statement either.

so doing some searching its another one where the age statement was dropped a while back. Guess it just sat on the shelf for a bit. If they had any more you might want to pick them up a 6 yr age stated BT product has got to have some secondary value, and if not its still pretty good for a 20 dollar 80 proof 1.75l bottle.

This was the only bottle at this location. I will be on the lookout at other locations though. Some times I find stuff at Fiesta that I can't find anywhere else.

Yep, that and a label for a new Maker's "Cellar Aged" was making the rounds today. A blend of 11 and 12 year Maker's, yes please. Only let down is the label shows 90.6 proof.

Just had a short stay in Louisville. Been a few other times to visit places on the trail. This time i stayed ar Hotel Distil. Very cool place (Marriott Autograph collection) downtown w outstanding food and service. Also brought the dog and for 50 bucks got a bourbon barrel dog bed, and some other dog treats. Great option if you travel with your dog. They also have a toast every night at 733 in the lobby (free small old fashions) to celebrate end of Prohibition. . .

As for bourbon…had a nice tasting at Peerless. Got the meet the owner Corky (3rd generation?). They have a nice line up of full proof bourbons and ryes. Price is kinda steep as most are around 129 -149 but some nice stuff IMO. Michters was on my list too and the bar and prices (Fort Nelson) were great. Had the bourbon and rye flights which has the full proof and also 10 year. I think 4 selections for 35$ per flight. Not bad and a great opportunity to try some cool stuff. However…got there at 1010 (they opened at 10) and all allocated stuff in gift shop were gonzo! Word to wise, get there 1 hour before opening if you want a shot at getting a bottle of the hard to find stuff. Also got a bottle of ECTB at Evan Williams experience at Msrp.
