I stopped in there a few months ago and didn't have a good experience. Bottles were arranged haphazardly everywhere, and the employee seemed annoyed that I needed a bit just to see what he had. Small shops with big egos can kick rocks.

Most of the liquor stores in Japan are pretty well stocked with everything you're seeing in those pictures. DIfference between the Japanese and US bourbon market is that they don't really have taters in Japan. It's isn't conducive to their culture

A little further north, but my brother is stationed at Fort Gordon (Augusta) and he doesn't have all that great of luck. I'm mailing him bottles from Texas usually.

Good grief, those prices suck. My last trip to Tokyo in March I snagged a Blantons black and a 4R Super Premium at like 4500 yen a piece.

Edit to add that Hibiki Master's Select next to the Brantons is very good

It's a pretty dang good bottle for…..I think they were $29 bucks if I'm not mistaken. The one I had was a 2012, have a couple more years that I haven't tried.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure they no longer sell them in Texas.

Yea. $29 or so and usually aged 8-9 years if I remembered correctly. Good for that price just nothing great. Was always plenty on shelf.
