Does that mean none of the local stores are getting any GTS either?
Yesterday I picked up a stagg jr. This is my first time trying it and I really like it. I did let it hang out in a glass with a few ice cubes for 5-10 minutes first however.
Same store had pappy 15 and a couple of the BTAC but I wouldn't pull the trigger. Guy wanted $350 for ER17 and $450 for the pappy. I got the stagg jr. for $60 and regretfully walked away from the rest of it.

@ the dude10: are you in Houston? compared to secondary markets, $450 for PVW 15 is not terrible...
Also, fwiw Goody Goody in Humble still had 2 bottles of OFBB as of yesterday...for $35!

$450 for PVW15 is rediculous... I got my 23 for cheaper than that (with tax). You are paying secondary market prices at that rate. A lot of folks marking the bourbon up this year... even those that didn't last year.
they limit you to one bottle per person, otherwise I would.
I already picked one up for myself so I'm limited out. However, Other stores are about to start receiving their allocation.

Decent day today.
I am in Austin. I completely understand why they are marking up the price, they are getting it. Even though i could afford it right now, I am just not willing to pay that much. I love my 2 bottles of four roses private selection, and they were only $50. Same with my eh Taylor and EC barrel proof. Looks like I am either going to have to get extremely lucky or wait until the craze dies down.
How much would it take for you to part with the eagle rare?

Got my call today and picked up a bottle of Stagg and ORVW10. I was surprised to get them, but in a good way. If the manager is to be believed (and I think he's a good dude, so I'm inclined to do so) I got the last 2 bottles of their allotment.
I got a bottle of Handy and Elmer T Lee yesterday. Paid way too much, but if the Handy is anywhere near last year it may be worth it. What are ya'll paying for the Elmer at Lee?

Went searching for WLW which is no where to be found but grabbed a second Stagg!
I picked up Elmer T. Lee last week for $27. It's good, and the price was fair.

Woodford has been my favorite for a long time, but bought a bottle of Basil Hayden's today and that is some damn tasty stuff.
The going price for Blanton's is now $55.99 plus tax. I had not seen one on a shelf in several months, so picked one up Friday. Ouch.

Havent heard anything good about OFBB '14. Last year was solid but heard this years is no bueno.

Of those, the Michters 10 bourbon would be my choice. But, I finished mine and have better choices now.

Hows the Rye? Might pick up the small batch this week and the store has the rye too.
It is a good pour. The finish is not as strong as i would like, but still a very good drink. The longer it sits, the better it gets. First pour was neat.
