Pretty much spot on... funny thing is I enjoyed life just as much when I used to drink JD and Coke. I got where I am today because I gave up soft drinks for health.
Read this earlier as well and hadn't had a chance to post it yet. Great article though and a fun blog to read. Definitely can tell where I'm at now... I couldn't even drink whiskey/bourbon about 3 years ago... Not the case now.
skipped the JD and coke stage and went to JD and water with ice. Only whiskey I can mix with coke is crown for some reason.
There are probably 10 or less OGs in all of Houston. That article is spot on.

yeah, maybe hipster was more appropriate than emo. i'm not real clear the difference.
at the end of the day, i think my penchant for self medicating with alcohol whilst chasing kiddos around the house after work trumps my desire to only drink bourbons that taste like caramel, toasted oats, asphalt, leather, etc.

Specs downtown has it. I got a bottle this past Friday. There was a lot on the shelf.
The MMCS was originally for on premesis sales only, but retailers just got the ok to open sales to anyone last week.
I saw a few bottles of the MMCS at Specs in San Antonio. Is it worth the price? It was about $40 for 375 mL.
I got it for $28 at Specs in Houston.
AggieChemist - where in Morgantown do you pick up your juice? A buddy of mine from Louisville will be in town later this week and likes to hit up the local stores...
I paid $28 in San Antonio as well for the MMCS. Picked up an ETL Commemorative with it.
Either the Giant Eagle grocery store or Ashebrook liquor outlet. We don't have a great selection. Gotta get lucky in town. I buy most of my good stuff at McHenry Beverage over in Deep Creek MD.

Am I the only one who has trouble getting excited about MMCS? I am sure it's fine, but something about it feels disingenuous.
